Questions
How do I generate chord progression ideas?
Progression Studio offers three modes. Spark generates quick harmonic starter ideas from a key and mood. Blueprint builds mood-based, key-aware progressions with Roman numeral guidance. Song Form generates verse, chorus, and bridge chord maps from curated song styles for a complete structure.
What is the difference between Spark, Blueprint, and Song Form?
Spark is the fastest path: pick a key and mood, get instant playable chord sequences you can tweak. Blueprint is more intentional: it shows the Roman numeral function of each chord so you understand why the progression works. Song Form is the most structured: it generates a full verse-chorus-bridge layout with harmonic consistency across sections.
Can I edit a generated progression?
Yes. Each mode outputs playable chord sequences you can tweak, expand, transpose, or extend. Generated progressions link to related tools like Roman Numeral Studio for key changes, the Substitution Planner for reharmonization, and the Practice Loop Studio for rehearsing at tempo.
How do I keep my song harmonically consistent?
The Song Form mode ensures all sections stay in the same key and use compatible chord movements. Bridge sections may suggest brief departures for contrast, but the overall harmonic framework remains coherent across verse, chorus, and bridge.
