Overview
ChordLookup (chordlookup.com) is a free, anonymous music reference tool. We do not require user accounts, we do not collect personal information, and we do not track you across other sites.
Analytics
We use Rybbit, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand how our site is used. Rybbit collects anonymous, aggregate data such as page views, referral sources, and general geographic regions. It does not use cookies and does not track individual users across sessions or websites.
Local Storage
ChordLookup stores preferences and practice data in your browser's local storage. This includes your favorite chords, practice history, instrument preferences, and display settings. This data never leaves your device — it is not transmitted to our servers or any third party. You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's local storage.
No Personal Data
We do not collect names, email addresses, IP addresses for tracking purposes, or any other personally identifiable information. We have no user accounts, no login system, and no database of user profiles.
Cookies
ChordLookup does not set any cookies. Our analytics provider (Rybbit) also does not use cookies. All site preferences are stored exclusively in your browser's local storage.
Third-Party Services
We use Cloudflare for hosting and content delivery. Cloudflare may process standard HTTP request data (such as IP addresses) as part of delivering web pages, but this is not used by ChordLookup for tracking or profiling.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
Contact
ChordLookup has no accounts and does not collect personal data, so there is no data-access or deletion request flow. If you have questions about this policy, see our About page.
