Frequently Asked Questions

How do I measure my chord change speed?

Select two chords in the Chord Change Speed Test. The tool times how quickly and accurately you can switch between them. Track your improvement over multiple sessions to see measurable progress.

What is a good chord change speed?

At 60 BPM, cleanly changing between two chords on every beat (60 changes per minute) is a solid intermediate goal. Beginners should aim for 30 clean changes per minute. Speed without accuracy is counterproductive.

How do I improve difficult chord transitions?

Isolate the tricky transition, practice at a slow tempo until clean, then gradually increase speed. Focus on common fingers that stay in place and minimize hand movement. The speed test tracks your progress objectively.
